I’m in the process of downloading and installing the new version of the Facebook application for the iPhone. And I’m excited. Why?What if I told you that Facebook on the iPhone is almost as useful as email on the iPhone?
It is. And this is especially true as your network of users on Facebook grows. It’s a simple and organic way of connecting with friends, without anyone having to work all that hard. And the iPhone version (to me) has almost always been better and more useful than the website itself- when I have a free minute while standing in line or something, I can quickly see what everyone is up to on Facebook. Nice.

Addendum: Adding the ability to comment on things is Clutch with a capital C.
That totally makes sense that they focus on pushing/inventing their entire experience on mobile devices. For awhile it looked like they'd be going full steam into desktop or browser (UI) integration but they might as well just bypass this in favor of mobiles. As mobiles get larger (like maybe in my car's dashboard) they might just turn back into laptops anyway.
