Windows Live Beta 3 Ships
We've just shipped our most recent Beta of Windows Live Writer. Joe has a great write up of highlights and lowlights that you can check out to get the complete run down. One of the things that I really like about this Beta is that it addresses some of our most requested features, XHTML support and Blogger image publishing support. But my favorite of all? The fact that we no longer munge images unless we absolutely positively have to. This means that when you post screenshots like the one to the right here, they can look picture perfect. It's a little thing, but one that can really get under your skin if you post images.
If you haven't downloaded it yet, I think now is probably the time.
Sorry for the late response. Just switched over to wordpress software (which gets along very well with livewriter I might add). So I've been busy installing plugins, etc...
I was actually surprised that you found my blog entry. And I apologize if it was a bit inflammatory, but it was how I felt about the treatment of users who decided to with the latest version of the O/S. It most likely isn't up to you guys as far as how this stuff is released, but for users of the 64 bit Vista, we felt pretty burned considering there was no release for our version.
Btw, requiring a fix before the install? Baaaaad. A lot of us have the software installed on work machines, which aren't allowed to get windows live updates. So I can't run it at home unless I go buy a copy of vista 32, and I can't run it at work because fixes and updates are handled by the I.T. department, which don't allow us applying fixes on our own machines.

No need to apologize- I'd rather get the unvarnished truth and your frustation is pretty understandable! I completely sympathize- this was our first beta using the new installer technology and it has had a few rough patches (requiring an update to install being among them).
Sorry and we'll keep getting better!
