So DragonStyle grew up in a small town near the absolute center of the United States- McPherson, KS. The street name was 'Briarwood Lane', and while it wasn't a cul-de-sac, it might as well have been. It was a quiet street in a small town in the rural heartland. The movie Hoosiers was not filmed there, but it could've been (replace the corn of Indiana with the wheat of Kansas).
A quick look at what is going on in McPherson in the next couple of weeks reveals the following significant event:

I have to admit that I don't particularly remember McPherson as being Scottish, though we were probably the only small town in Kansas with our own bag pipe band. Well now we also have the Scottish fair. I think Scottish history is stalking me, being descended from Scots, having lived in a Scottish (apparently) small town in Kansas, and having attended a college in Minnesota whose mascot is a fighting Scot.

Well, I tried to make a witty montage of Groundskeeper Willie, but your blog won't let me post HTML. Damn you, Scottish HTML killers!
