Google Base has finally become publicly available. You can have a look at my item here. I have to say that in my 10 minutes of use of it, the contents are not that impressive, and I still don't quite see how it fits relative to Craig's List, Ebay, and others. I suppose that as the search volume increases, the content will be heavily incented to improve...

After keeping us waiting for eons, the gods of Google have declared that Google Base is now ready for public consumption. So go ahead and plug in your classified ads, recipes and non-profit info, and help Google destroy Craigslist, Idealist and your local newspaper in the process. Oh, and BTW, Google Base is a beta. But you already knew that.
